The dions Story

It started with a single recipe, a wood-fired oven, and a belief that great pizza could bring people together. Dions was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico — a city bursting with culture, chile heat, and community pride. 1978

Dions Is Born

Founder Dion opens the first location in Albuquerque, NM. Armed with a family recipe, a hand-built oven, and an unwavering belief in quality, dion's pizza becomes an overnight neighborhood sensation.

1985

The Menu Expands

Growing customer demand leads Dions to introduce its now-iconic subs, sandwiches, and fresh salads — creating a full dions menu that satisfies every craving. The community can't get enough.

1993

Second Location Opens

Following years of overwhelming demand, Dions opens its second Albuquerque location. The dion's brand begins to take on a life of its own, with loyal fans spreading the word across New Mexico.

2002

Catering Division Launches

Dions formally launches its catering program, bringing fresh dion's pizza and food to corporate events, weddings, and community celebrations. Priya Nanda joins as Catering Director.

2010

Expanding Across New Mexico

With 8 thriving locations, Dions becomes a statewide icon. The dions pizza recipe remains unchanged — a testament to the power of getting the fundamentals right and never cutting corners.

2018

40 Years of Flavor Celebrated
